
Peanut Chutney | Moongfali chutney for idli

Ingredients
- 100 gms peanuts
- 4 cloves garlic - 4 cl
- 1 Onions
- 4 Dry red chillies
- 100 ml Water
- 1/2 tsp tamarind water
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 2.5 tsp curry leaves
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 3 tsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp salt

Take 100 gms peanuts in pan and dry roast it for few minutes. After the peanuts are roasted, you can peel off the skin.

Take 2 tsp oil in a medium hot pan.

Add 4 cloves of garlic to it.

Dice a small onion and add it to the mixture.

Add 2 dried red chillies to the mixture.

Mix everything to together.

Add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds to the mixture.

Cook everything together for a few minutes.

Add everything to a blender

Add 1/2 tsp salt and water as per requirement to the mixture. Add 1/2 tsp tamarind to the mixture

Blend the mixture to form a fine paste.

Time to make the tadka. Take 1 tsp oil in a hot pan.

Add 1 tsp mustard seeds to it. The oil should be hot enough so that the mustard seeds start spluttering

Add 2 red dried chillies to the mixture.

Add 1/4 tsp hing to the mixture.

Add few curry leaves. Cook everything together for minute.

Add the tadka to the chutney. Your tadka is completely ready. Enjoy it with idli or dosa!!!
