Ingredients
- 300 ml Water
- 300 gms Sugar
- 1/4 tsp vanilla essence
- 400 gms Papaya

We will need a medium sized Papaya for making our candies which will be approximately 400gms.

We need to cut the papaya into smaller pieces. Start removing the seeds of the papaya.

You can cut the papaya into shapes and sizes according to your liking.

We have chopped the papaya into small pieces.

Take water in a utensil and start heating it.

Add the papaya to the water

Cover the utensil with a lid and cook it for 2-3 minutes

After 2-3 minutes you can remove the lid and give the mixture a quick mix.

Remove the papaya from the water and keep is aside.

Time to prepare the sugar syrup. Take 300 gms of sugar in a utensil.

Add 300 ml water to it and start heating it.

After a few minutes, the sugar will dissolve in the water.

At this stage add the boiled papaya to the water and keep heating it.

Cover the utensil with a lid and let the papaya cook for 10-12 minutes.

After a few minutes open the lid and stop heating the mixture. We do not want to boil the sugar a syrup a lot or else there will be crystal formed.

We will need to use food color for our candies. If you do not want to use food color, you may leave the candies transparent as well.

Add 1/4 tsp of vanilla essence to the mixture.

Divide the mixture in equal parts and add them to different bowls.

Add different food colors to all the mixtures and leave of the mixture as it is.

Mix everything together. Let the candies be soaked in the sugar syrup and food color for 20 hrs.

After 20 hrs remove the excess sugar syrup from the candies using a stirrer.

Our candies are almost ready.

Add the candies onto a tissue paper and leave them there for about 6 hrs.

Your candies are ready. You can store them as well. Enjoy it with family and friends!!!
