Moong Dal Chilla is a healthy high-protein Indian recipe made from soaked moong dal blended into a batter and cooked like a thin savory pancake. It is light, nutritious, and perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a quick evening snack.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Moong Dal
- 1 green chillies
- 1 inch Ginger
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/2 cup onion
- 1/2 cup Tomato
- 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves (chopped)
- 1 tsp cooking oil
Instructions

Wash and soak yellow moong dal for 3 to 4 hours. Drain the water completely.

Grind the soaked dal with green chilli, ginger, and a little water into a smooth batter.

Add salt, turmeric, cumin powder, and finely chopped onion, tomato, and coriander. Mix well.

Heat a tawa and spread a ladle of batter into a thin chilla. Drizzle a few drops of oil.

Cook until golden, flip and cook the other side. Serve hot with green chutney.
