Momo is an East and South Asian dish. It is made of a water dough and flour. White flour is generally preferred. A little yeast or baking soda can be added to give a more doughy texture. The fillings may include meat, vegetables, cheese, corn etc.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh corn
  • 0.5 tsp seasoning
  • 30 ml cooking oil
  • 0.5 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup feta cheese
  • 1 beet root
  • 1 packet Maggi Masala (optional)
  • 1 tsp sriracha sauce
  • 2 cups Brown Bread
  • 1 savoy cabbage
  • 1 Onions
  • 5 cloves garlic - 4 cl

Instructions

    Dough recipe - Chop 1 beet root, add some water and boil. Then strain and use the water for making the dough. In a bowl take 2 cups all-purpose flour, add salt, 1 tbsp oil and the beet root water and form a dough.

    Corn n cheese stuffing recipe - Blend 3 cups of boiled sweet corn and add to a bowl. Add 1/2 tsp black pepper powder, salt to taste, 1/2 tsp italian seasoning and 1 cup grated cheese. Mix well and the stuffing is ready.

    Magic momos stuffing recipe - In a pan, add oil. Add finely chopped onion and garlic. Add chopped cabbage to this. Add some Sriracha chilli garlic sauce, salt and 1 packet of maggi magic masala. Cook well for 6-7 mins and the stuffing is ready.

    Method - Take a small portion of the dough and flatten it into thin circles with a rolling pin using some all-purpose flour. Add the momo stuffing and give a desired shape.

    Steam the momos for 10 mins and you are good to go
