
Matar Pulao | Peas Pulao

Ingredients

- 400 grams Rice flour
- 4 tbsp ghee/oil
- 3 medium size Onions
- 2 Fennel Seeds
- 2 Bay leaves
- 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- 250 gm Roasted peanuts
- 1 .5 tsp Black pepper
- 5 Green Chilies
- 4 Whole spices (cinnamon, cardamom, cloves)
- 1 Whole spices (cinnamon, cardamom, cloves)
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 medium size Tomato
- 1 small piece salt
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions

Take 2 cups of Basmati Rice in a bowl.

Wash rice well so that the dust or extra starch is removed.

Add water and rub it with your hands.

Wash rice 4-5 times.

Soak rice for 15-20 minutes.

Heat a pan and add 4 tbsp of ghee in it.

Add 3 medium size onions, sliced thinly.

Fry the onions until they turn golden brown.

Add whole spices to the remaining ghee: cumin seeds, black pepper, cloves, green cardamom, big cardamom, cinnamon stick, mace.

Fry the spices for a few seconds.

Add 4 medium sized potatoes, cut into medium pieces.

Fry the potatoes until they are cooked by 70-80%.

Add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and fry the potatoes for another minute.

Add 1 medium sized tomato, chopped roughly.

Add 5-6 whole green chilies (if you like it spicy).

Add frozen peas and fry them for 2-3 minutes.

Add salt to taste.

Add water according to the rice:water ratio.

Boil the water, then cover the flame and cook for 5 minutes.

Reduce heat to low and stir well. Add fried onions and cover it again.
