bring 1 litre of milk to a boil. Keep stirring continuously.
Once the milk boils stir until it gets thick and starts leaving the pan. This may take about 50 mins and requires continuous stirring.
Add 2/3 cup of sugar, 1/2 tsp cardamom powder and some kesar strands. Turn off the flame and keep stirring the mixture until it cools.
Apply some ghee on your palms and shape the modaks. Garnish using kesar strands.
