Momos are a popular street food in northern parts of India. They are also known as Dim Sum or dumplings. The outer layer is made from all purpose flour or maida. The stuffing can vary a lot. There are can vegetable stuffing, corn, cheese, meat etc. They can be boiled, fried or baked. The momo shape can vary according to your choice but the standard one is half moon pleated shape aka potstickers or Potli shaped momos 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Brown Bread
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Sabudana (Tapioca Pearls)
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 0.5 cup Cheese Slices
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

    Dough recipe - In a bowl take 2 cups of all-purpose flour, salt and 1 tbsp oil. Form the dough with the help of some water.

    Filling recipe - Grind boiled corn and add it to a bowl. Add finely chopped bell peppers and grated cheese. Mix well and add salt and pepper.

    Method - Take a small portion of the dough and flatten into thin circles with a rolling pin using some all-purpose flour. Add the momo stuffing and give a desired shape.

    Steam the momos for 10 minutes and you are good to go!
